Campus Resources
The campus houses well-planned academic, residential, and administrative facilities, including offices, seminar rooms, an auditorium, a central library, a computer centre, student hostels, faculty and staff residences, canteen, and a guest house, thereby providing a comprehensive environment for learning, research, and community living.
Classrooms/Seminar Halls and Auditorium:
Classrooms, a conference hall, and a state-of-the-art auditorium are equipped with modern learning and conference facilities. These spaces are supported by advanced technologies such as projectors, document cameras, digital classroom systems, high-speed Wi-Fi, and video conferencing facilities, enabling interactive teaching, collaborative learning, and academic exchange. The auditorium, with a seating capacity of approximately 500, serves as a central venue for lectures, conferences, cultural events, and academic gatherings.
Hostel and Guest House:
The campus houses a guest house with 50 rooms to accommodate visiting scholars, conference participants, and other guests. In addition, a dedicated hostel with 75 rooms is available for students, ensuring on-campus residential accommodation that fosters academic engagement and community interaction.
Canteen facilities
The institute offers subsidized canteen facilities for students, faculty, and staff, offering a variety of meals and refreshments. The canteen serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, as well as snacks and beverages as per the timings specified.
Recreation facility:
The Institute offers a range of recreational facilities that promote physical well-being and leisure for its community members. These include a club library, indoor games such as table tennis, and outdoor facilities such as badminton and lawn tennis courts, a jogging track, and a swimming pool. A fully equipped gymnasium further supports fitness activities, while a dedicated children’s park adds to the family-friendly environment within the campus.
Computer Centre and Library:
The IT facilities at IGIDR include a state-of-the-art computer Center and the library, which is one of the leading professional research and reference libraries in the country.
Disabled-friendly and Barrier-free Environment
The campus has barrier free access and disabled-friendly facilities. Barrier free access is provided through ramps, scissor lifts, and passenger lifts. These provide access to parking areas, the entire administrative block, seminar halls/classrooms/conference hall, auditorium, library, cafeteria, research blocks (faculty offices and computer centre), and washrooms. Ramps for barrier free access also connect the student hostel and the guest house where the dining hall is located.
Dedicated rooms in the hostel building have been provided for disabled-friendly students. A special disabled-friendly restroom has been provided in the administration block.
Other Facilities
A visiting doctor is also available on working days for consultation for the benefit of people residing on campus. The employees and students are covered under group Mediclaim insurance.
