Designed for intellectually curious minds, our programme blends strong economic foundations with interdisciplinary insight to tackle pressing development challenges. With dedicated faculty mentorship, vibrant peer interaction, and global exposure through conferences and research collaborations, scholars are empowered to grow and lead.
PhD students receive a monthly stipend of ₹31,000 for the first two years, increasing to ₹43,750 after registration, with part-time research or teaching assistantship from the second year; those joining after MSc or MPhil from IGIDR receive the stipend for three years.
We welcome passionate individuals ready to contribute to meaningful change through research and innovation.
